Maxim Kulkov Spoke at the ICC Russia Construction Summit 2026
On 8 September, KK&P Trial Lawyers’ Managing Partner Maxim Kulkov took part in the 4th Annual ICC Russia Construction Summit.
During the Summit’s closing session, Maxim moderated a Roundtable entitled Building a Profile in Construction Disputes: Pathways to Arbitral Tribunal and Dispute Board Appointments, inclusion on Rosters, Market Expectations and Selection Criteria.
With more than 30 years’ experience representing clients in leading international arbitration proceedings under ICC, SCC, LCIA and ICAC Rules, as well as extensive experience acting as an arbitrator and expert witness, including in construction, energy and infrastructure disputes, Maxim addressed key aspects of professional development in construction arbitration. These included how to position oneself for appointments, the selection criteria applied by arbitral institutions and parties, and the factors shaping market expectations of arbitrators and expert witnesses in construction disputes.
The ICC Russia Construction Summit brought together a business programme focused on major Russian projects and current market challenges, alongside key developments on the international agenda. This year, the Summit also incorporated topics addressed at leading global construction events, including the ICC-FIDIC Conference in Bogotá and the FIDIC ICUC in London.
