KK&P Partners speak at London International Disputes Week 2026

On 4 June, KK&P and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer LLP co-hosted an event as part of LIDW 2026 entitled: The Next Stage of Russian Sanctions-Related Disputes: Injunctions, Parallel Proceedings, Risks and Consequences of Russian Insolvency Procedures, and Global Recognition and Enforcement Disputes.

The key discussion focused on the evolution of sanctions-related disputes and emerging risks for Western companies in Russia, including competing injunctions (anti-suit injunctions), parallel proceedings, the practice of holding “local” insolvency proceedings against Western legal entities in Russia, and the threat of enforced recognition of Russian court judgments abroad.

Speakers:

  • Oleg Kolotilov and Nikolay Pokryshkin (Partners, KK&P Trial Lawyers);
  • Emma Deas (Partner) and Alexander Gridasov (Senior Associate), Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer;
  • Saima Hanif KC (3 Verulam Buildings).

The subject matter of the seminar reflects a key area of KK&P’s expertise.

Since 2023, the firm has represented major US and EU banks (including Société Générale and ING Bank) as well as Euroclear, with the aggregate value of claims in more than 60 sanctions-related disputes exceeding €200 billion.

Furthermore, since 2015, the team has been involved in over 30 insolvency cases with claims exceeding US$1.3 billion. The firm’s Insolvency practice headed by Nikolay Pokryshkin has been recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers Europe.

We would like to thank Emma Deas, Alexander Gridasov and Saima Hanif KC for their insightful contributions and engaging discussion on one of the most rapidly evolving areas of international dispute resolution.
