Maxim Kulkov was elected as the Deputy Chairperson of the Nomination Committee of the International Arbitration Commission ICC Russia

ICC Russia Commission on International Arbitration, or Commission on Arbitration, was created in 2000 upon the initiative of members of the Russian national committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, World Business Organization, and is a sectoral expert commission of ICC Russia.

The Commission’s objectives are to enhance the development and wider application of relevant mechanisms of commercial arbitration, as well as to promoting business dispute resolution in accordance with ICC rules in Russia. The Commission on Arbitration also acts as a professional forum for exchanging opinions and developing a unified standpoint for the Russian legal community on topical issues of international arbitration.

Maxim Kulkov was elected as the Deputy Chairperson of the Nomination Committee which is nominate candidates for the position of an arbitrator and consist of 5 members with the term of powers not exceeding three years, with annual rotation of 2 of such 5 members.

The Commission on Arbitration and its working groups comprise a number of leading experts in international arbitration, including partners from international law firms currently working in Russia, corporate lawyers, professors from Russian law schools as well as experts in international commercial dispute resolution.
