On 11 April at 12.30 Moscow time Maxim Kulkov will speak at the Online vs Offline and Other Trends in International Arbitration ICC Conference

The pandemic and related travel restrictions, sanctions and the resulting inability to make payments, cyberattacks and information theft have had a major impact on international arbitration. The rejection of technology from “unfriendly countries” has also complicated the choice of arbitrators, who face the new “challenges” of the times.

KK&P Managing Partner Maxim Kulkov is speaking at Promoting Arbitrators: Tools and Channels Still Available for Russian Lawyers Today session. Maxim will discuss with his colleagues the issues of establishing arbitration tribunals to consider disputes involving Russian parties and the inclusion of Russian arbitrators in the panels. He also is considering ways to improve recognition of Russian arbitrators and building a personal arbitrator’s brand.

The event will be held online in English.

The conference is held with the support of the ICC Russia. The event aims to promote the development of arbitration proceedings and international commercial arbitration in Russia and the CIS countries, popularise Russia as a place for dispute resolution, and promote Russian arbitrators at the national and international level.
