KK&P’s Managing Partner Maxim Kulkov suggests that it may be a lawsuit that may be filed with a US court for acknowledging illegal US Government’s unilateral act on closing of the Russian Federation’s consulate general and annexes. “Russia aims to particularly reinstate its sites consular as, based on US’ officials’ comments, they do not encroach upon the property ownership right”, said Kommersant’s interlocutor.

“American court would most probably employ US inner legislation, i.e. the Foreign Missions Act, letting domestic authorities to require eliminating the use of any type of real estate”, Maxim Kulkov adds. “With regard to that I presume the probability for success to be low.”
