Defending Commerzbank in a number of disputes against the largest (including state-owned) Russian banks and other companies and persons whose demands are based on the freezing of their funds in National Settlement Depository (NSD) and whose assets are blocked in a German bank due to sanctions. Claims for damages in connection with the freezing of funds on NSD correspondent accounts have not yet been considered by Russian courts (earlier disputes were related to the recovery of payments on securities frozen due to sanctions against NSD), and the caselaw is formed with our participation.

Advising a client regarding the breach of a supply and engineering contract for railway equipment. Under the contract, the client was obliged to supply equipment, and perform engineering and commissioning works.
Subsequently, the counterparty notified the supplier of its termination of the contract and filed a claim exceeding €10m, seeking the return of the advance payment, liquidated damages, price reductions for alleged defective equipment, and other losses.

Successfully defending an investor in a dispute concerning the exercise of pre-emptive rights to acquire an agricultural enterprise valued at RUB 308.5 million under insolvency proceedings.

Defending a former shareholder of a property developer against claims exceeding RUB 290 million in proceedings challenging a series of transactions implemented to facilitate the sale of the business and the shareholder’s exit from the company.
